Missing.

Just so everyone knows, I can't find Manny. I have a feeling Brandon is hiding him as a joke because he never liked Manny and when I asked him if he had seen him he just giggled and said "no."

The search is on.

A Very Sad Event

I regret to inform you that Manny has been in an accident. I planned on taking him to Vancouver BC with me but because of VERY little room in my only bag, I reluctantly left him behind.

Well, I left him on my night stand and I came home to find that Portland resident Milo Carey had brutally attacked Manny. Manny is still alive but he lost a lot of blood and will have to have a prosthetic arm and will live with permanent scars on his extremities and face.

Meanwhile, Carey is in custody on his cat tree and awaits a trial. If convicted, he could spend 20 to life in his cat carrier.

A violin goodbye

Julie is moving to Utah this week so she gave me an art piece she made of an old violin. Manny is admiring it before I hang it up.

Manny is watching the presidential address. Also, I have decided to change the style of this blog. rather than a 365 day blog I am going to only take photos of Manny when I feel the photo is creative/worthy enough to be blogged. This is because I have had a very hard time posting a daily photo that wasn't similar to photos I have already posted and Manny is difficult to take everywhere everyday.

I've been a little preoccupied with other life stressors to post daily, I really apologize. However, I am taking the weekend off to RELAX in Eugene with a friend! Manny of course accompanied me. We took Amtrak.

Sorry about the lack of the weekend post. I was at the coat and completely forgot Manny at home! I am back to normal now and wanted to share a picture of manny viewing the new fish tank set up I did today. Same 5 Gal. tank, just new gravel, heater, filter and a new plant. Happy fish.

Cat-sitting

Meet Ollie, the kitten I am cat-sitting this week. She is so sweet and cuddly, and it is a pleasure watching her. Plus Manny and I get to stay at a really cool house only 5 blocks away from my apartment.

A visit from grandma

My grandma Linda came to my work this morning to give me some yummy food and to say hello. Her long-time friend Dianne joined and they met Manny. Dianne mentioned that Manny was naked and you know, that has never crossed my mind before. I think some clothes are definitely in order.

Night out

Manny joined me with my mom and a friend to Kennedy School for dinner. The darker photo is him taking the last bite of dessert. After I uploaded the photo I realized there is a 20 dollar bill in the dessert and that was no intentional, lol.

The other photo is the virgin margarita I had after dinner. We didn't want to go home so we went to this cute Tex-Mex place on E. Burnside. It was strawberry flavored and not the best...Original Taco house has good virgin margaritas.

I had a nice dinner this evening and of course, Manny offered to take it to the sink and wash it afterward. Being the gentleman that he is, I assumed he had taken it to the sink and I could start on with my night. He had hidden motives. Him and Milo have a secret friendship and he caters to Milo's every want. He gave the whole plate to the cat! Naughty Manny.

PS. That little dish by the big plate was Milo's first dinner. Piggy.

New fish

I got a Betta fish today. As you may remember my goldfish I had for 3 years recently passed and I had an empty tank that I wanted to fill. Here is Manny saying hello. His name is Mars, and he is in this little cup while the water in his new tank settles.

Homework at Starbucks

I read at Starbucks for a while for my class. I also ate some Chinese food from Fred Meyer and I have to tell you it wasn't very good. This was the fisrt picture where people looked at me funny as I took it.

FarmVille

I'm kind of obsessed with FarmVille and tonight Manny helped me remodel my farm.

It was a terenchal downpour today. I wanted to take this of Manny outside but I have to admit I really didn't want to go back out and get soaked...This is him showing off his acting skills. He is pretending to run for the bus.

Microfilm Machines

I hung out with Brandon today and he had to do some research in the PSU library using the microfilm machines. I love those things so I did my own stuff and looked at old Oregonian articles from the 1800s.

I was waiting for the bus after school and Manny found a spot on City Hall to sit and wait.

Nothing happening today

Manny has been in my bag alllllll day and I had a really boring day so I never took a photo of him doing something interesting. I found him climbing out of my bag this evening.

Alley Cat

I have been taking care of a pregnant stray that has decided to live in my alley. It was Manny's first time meeting her, here he is standing with her makeshift bed and food. She wouldn't let Manny get close to her. Anyway, someone bought her a bag of "Alley Cat" food and I laugh every time I see it because she really is an alley cat.

To be honest, I completely forgot to take a creative picture this evening and I am getting ready to go to bed but would feel terrible without posting something.

Halloween goes to the dogs

I made home-made dog treats tonight. Manny tried to help but he can't quite lift the tray. I will leave them at work on Saturday for the dogs that come into work.

A little tin flower

I went to Starbucks today. I go there almost every day and the people who work there usually give me my drinks for really cheap because they are awesome. Well anyway, today I got a really yummy drink for 50 cents so I was feeling very good and in a giving spirit. I walked outside and a young hispanic guy was sitting on the corner making these tin flowers out of old cans. He said "hola" and I said it back. He asked "se habla espanol?" I responded with the most important sentence every American should no..."muy, muy pequeno," or "very, very little." He laughed and asked me if I would buy one of his flowers. Of course! I just got my drink for nearly nothing. I offered to buy one of the smaller, $3 ones. He didn't have change for a $10 so I sucked it up and bought the $5 one and he gave me my $5 in change...anyway, I didn't want to frighten him with Manny, so I waited until I got to work to snap the photos. Enjoy as much as I do.

Sleeping time

Saying goodnight to portland. I had a fairly bad night and before I went to bed I shut all the lights out and stared at downtown for several minutes. I can see every building perfectly and I wanted to take a photo of Manny looking out onto the city but my camera phone didn't show it well. I had to turn a light on and this photo shows the glare but oh well.

This is the post from last night, the 22nd. I took this when I met my friend for a movie downtown and attempted to post it from my phone and it wasn't working. Pretty pathetic start to my "daily" blog huh? I will figure out the mobile so I can post from anywhere. Anyway, we saw "where the wild things are."
